Hi all, I live in an area with high rates of bike theft (major metropolitan area in the US), and recently had my bike stolen. I’m looking to buy a new used bike and want to avoid purchasing a stolen bike, of course! I’m interested in this Cannondale Synapse Tiagra (listed at $750), but am a little sketched out that this seller doesn’t have much information on their Facebook profile and is selling multiple bikes. I’ve checked to see if the bike is on bike index and will ask for a serial number, but is there anything else I can do to reduce the odds of purchasing a stolen bike?
