Team Nonstop Adventure from Poland reveal their plans to compete in Adventure Racing events and will record their training and progress through the year. This is their first episode and they hope other teams will take up the challenge.

“Our main challenge will be to participate in the 550-kilometer Rajd Beskidy, which this year has the rank of ARWS – Adventure Racing World Series QUALIFIER RACE. So it will be one of the 13 most important races in the world, and probably repeating the result from last year – when we won – will be very difficult.

We plan to prepare well for this competition and want to encourage other teams to participate as well. So we have come up with a series called ROAD TO RAJD BESKIDY, in which we will report on our preparations and give some insight into the specifics of the competition.

Episode One – WINTER TRAINING, is about not complaining about cold or wet weather conditions and putting on your skis when there is an opportunity.

Adventure Racing is a multidisciplinary sport. Combining running, biking, kayaking, and navigating using a paper map only is obviously quite a challenge, but in our opinion it’s also the sport’s greatest advantage. Doing different things for many years just doesn’t get boring for us. It’s also healthier.

So we try to use the Polish winter as much as possible. We train skimo and cross-country skiing because it perfectly develops the whole body, we run in the mud, in the rain, we go out to train when it’s dark and cold. This makes it a little easier later at competitions.

Rajd Beskidy is only 160 days away.”

Hello and good morning, it’s January 1st 2024. Nonstop Adventure are doing their morning training session because the new season needs a good start This year we’re planning to race hard in Poland and abroad We’re opening the season with Rajd Soły on 12th January with 2 our teams of two

Will be racing fast next is Silesia Race and then in June there comes the first highlight- Rajd Beskidy the longest advenuture race in Poland part of the Adventure Racing World Series for the first time ever in Poland after the ARWS demonstration race last year

And for the second half of the year we’re planning to take part in the European Championship Raid Lowlands in the Netherlands it’s going to be a sprint race of 24 hours so this is how we start the year running in the rain at 6am on 1st January motivation is a crucial thing

We thought when we speak in public about our plans it won’t be that easy to withdraw then so we will have to fight but you never know what future brings so this is winter in Poland sometimes it rains, sometimes it snows with temperatures ranging from -10 to + 6 not everybody enjoys that

But at least it’s not boring Greetings from Kubalonka Pass got a bit frosty tonight unpleasantly icy for cross-country skiing The sun is shining, the weather’s great hope it stays like that Today some cross-country skiing in Strbske Pleso It’s 1st January 2024 a sporty New Year Hi everyone, greetings from Austria ski-mountaineering with Luna

Only a short trip today as I’m a bit sick and weak, so just a reconnaissance but it’s not bad we’re taking things easy
