Many times after I leave a place folks reach out and say that if they had known they would have loved to meet up or that they had mooring space and a hot shower. So this time I am sharing in real time the next 4 weeks of our voyage.
I can be contacted at alanbmulholland@gmail.com

  1. We were at anchor with you in the gale at Coney Island. Would have been great to meet you but we were busy managing dragging anchors.
We are Dan & Peg on Dauntless, currently anchored at Lewes. Going into the Chesapeake tomorrow, Wednesday.
Maybe we’ll see you along the way.

  2. Cape May brings back many memories from the months I spent there during the early months of summer in 1971. It was not a vacation wonderland for this then 19 year old. It was where I had my basic training for the Coast Guard. Semper Paratus has continued to be a guiding ethos throughout my life well past my 4-year enlistment.

  3. Too bad you didn't get there a little bit early by a couple of weeks. The Annapolis boat show was happening. You and Wave Rover would've made an awesome addition to the show.

  4. Come on Chesapeake folks. Give this super guy a hand. I am in Oriental NC, a sailing center of this part of the coast. I will Emal you my info. Anyway I can help I will. Fred, Merry Dolphin.

  5. You posts from WR2 show a rolling action on a run with fully furled rig? Haven’t seen the vessel exceed 3~4 knots yet in a 15~20 knot breeze. That punt like flat bottom must create a lot of induced drag? Was this a design consideration

  6. Hi Alan, I forwarded your info to a site I've been a memeber of for years. I am sure you will be contacted by some fine folks. All the Best…can't wait to see the videos coming in future. Now that I have your emial will also forward some video and pics of your Halifax departure. Fair Winds Sailor.

  7. Up and down the east coast several times, offshore mostly on my 40’ cat but my worst passages ever are up the Delaware Bay from Cape May to the canal….time the tide, watch wind against tide…shipping and pots….have fun, thx, Andrew (canuck in Bahamas)

  8. Alan, This is some Awesome news!! My wife and I have been following you back when you made your first attempt and then through the whole build and launch of Wave Rover 2. 9. Folks I had the great fortune to spend some time with Alan. I found Sailing Wave Rover on youtube only 4 months ago. Very interesting and informative, I was hooked. Alan it was great meeting you and Folks don't miss the oportunity if you get the chance to meet up with Alan while he's in our area – a great guy and he'll pass on some of his positive energy to you!
