An ancient boat, estimated to be 500 years old, has been discovered in the Dnipro River in Ukraine.

The Khortytsia National Reserve said many historical objects that were in flooded areas are under threat due to a drop in water levels.

  1. 500 years is hardly ancient. It's pretty old but it's not ancient. From the look of it, the tree was probably older than that when it was harvested to make the boat.

  2. So it seems the Ruski's have been invading Ukraine for a some time then…….this time they will be discovering bones and t90's in centuries to come……

  3. The ignorance of these "journalists" is astonishing! There were no "Russian settlements" in the region 500 years ago. Muscovites started to expand in those territories at the beginning of the 18th century. Maybe the "journalist" meant "Late Rus' settlement". Rus' and "Russia" are two different historical and geographical entities. The Rus' State was based in Kyiv since the 9th century and in its last years of existence as a unified State, in the 12th century, Moscow didn't even exist, and that region was a peripherical part of Rus', with Ugro-Finnic populations north of it.
