In this video I present my journey to Weimar And Maribor.
Today I’ll be talking about my Erasmus mobility. I was fortunate enough to participate in the program twice and was sent to the city of Weimar in Germany and Maribor in Slovenia, respectively. At first I was reasonably hesitant about applying; I had never done anything quite
Like it and was unsure if staying away for an entire month was a good idea, but eventually I sent my application and gave it a try, and in the end it turned out to be very pleasing. The first days are always the most challenging because you find yourself in a very different
Environment and it can be hard to adapt to it. However, after some time you get used to it and it all goes smoothly from there. It also helps being there with your travel mates, I quickly became friends with them, and that contributed a lot in making the time there enjoyable.
As for the internship, in Weimar, I worked for a bike shop where we took promotional pictures for their social media. I really enjoyed it because it allowed me to see a lot of the city and visit the neighboring ones. In Maribor,
Instead I found myself in an office, making images with a 3d software. Of course with the groups, I had the chance to visit many different places, each with its own historical background, my favorites being the ones showing a distinctive Renaissance
Ambiance. Additionally, I also explored some more contemporary locations which I also really liked. This kind of project can be extremely formative, and I recommend it to everyone, really. It is a very novel experience and it makes you step out of your comfort zone,
But in the end I’m sure it does make you grow as a person.
