A bitterly cold dawn ascent to one of the most beautiful mountain ranges in Europe: the Gran Sasso Massif. Rolling red hills give way to the icy plains of the plateau, with the colossal Corno Grande (2912m) looming in the distance.
In the next video I climb further to Campo Imperatore (Field of the Emperor) and Corno Grande itself, as the temperature plummets.
