This is the full documentary of our 9 days cycling tour. We’ve cycled 400km in three countries, Germany, Czechia and a few kilometers in Poland. This is a perfect small tour, not too far from the Netherlands, in beautiful landscapes, visiting historical cities like Dresden and Prague. To Prague we followed the existing well-signposted Elbe and Moldau cycling routes. Back north to Zittau we follow the river Jizera through the green hills of North Bohemia.

10:55 – Prague

Bohemia today we started our cycling tour along the river Elba going in into Czech Republic today and on the other side of the river you can see the beautiful buildings from Dresden look at that round K here Castle Cathedral here as well yeah so it’s uh the weather isn’t
Too bad too good but it’s we had some rain but it’s uh good enough now to cycle so no problem we start in dden the capital of the state of Saxony and also called the Florence of the north because of its many bar Rock buildings the city was
Largely destroyed during the bombing in 1944 but it has since risen from its ruins you should not miss a visit to the big three the Z and fr art lovers can indulge themselves in the resident and from the brua terasa the balcony of Europe you can have a fantastic view
Over the ALB and the no the newer part of the city on the other side of the river HOH for oh Yeah from Germany into Czech Republic today we’re already cyle almost 85 kilm so it’s first day we’re a little tired but the camping side is here in this city first we have to get the local currency and then we’re going to a supermarket and then to the camping site cycling in Czech
Republic lots of nut trees here just 20 or so lots of them high trees lots of nuts first basis for a food Forest on the sign there’s Braha prag and terzin and in German it’s theasian stat and there was a concentration camp ghetto and we’re going there to visit it before we go to the camping site thean stat where they kept many many Jewish people mainly before they send them to our
Stre one of the remarks we both had is that it’s just an nowadays it’s a normal City there are people living there are restaurants and shops but the whole system the city was closed and used as a huge ghetto and camp and Camp yeah a transportation camp for Jews
Towards out streets so it’s uh only the fact that you know that it this is a very special place here now today you don’t see a lot of that there is or Terian stat and uh we’re now going to the small Fortress I think it’s the
Museum um where we hope to learn more about the the things that happen here the Terrible Things there’s the Jewish star I think there are lots of graves on the right Side In Czech Republic the ELA river is called lab took us an hour or so to find out The castle of malda melnik and now we’ll switch to another River to the Moldau Yeah how did this gr some and slide uh off the road track along the vlat vlatava that’s the Czech name of the mow and uh it’s a little muddy it has been a lot of rain there has been a lot of rain and uh we’re doing okay on our way to Prague we reach PR and experience that it’s difficult to find a Camp spot packed between campers and Caravans but conveniently close to the city roughly 20 minutes by tram gets us to the city center what a beautiful city Prague is we’re walking through the narrow streets
To go to the prag castle up the hill with the St fetus Cathedral the golden lane and then back over the Charles bridge to the Old Town Square with the astronomical clock every everything is so well preserved and beautiful we love It It’s Well we had a lot of rain there will be rain coming again it’s raining today so we bought some Plastics to put under the tent and we went here during rain it’s dry a huge Hypermarket difficult in check to find someone who knows to find where to find it but finally I succeeded
Yay and in the meantime go here my to wait with my book so with the book yeah we cycle a full day in the rain we reach the camping in Cosmo noi the next day is another full day of rain so we decided to cycle to the hotel in
Approximately 3 km we unpacked everything to dry it what a mess we can make in a few minutes look at this we just had a quick lunch on the go because I had a donut and the the the upper donut the upper energy of the donut was okay but then the downer was
Uh let’s say killing almost so I had to eat something else and then we stopped at this lovely place here you see a small Lake in the uh Giants mountains or so in um Czech Republic we’re going to the um campsite and then tomorrow we’re going back to the three countries
Place uh where the three countries Germany Czech Republic and Poland are coming together close to the city of sow and um yeah but anyhow today we’re cycling through the m through the forests and the hills and it’s beautiful up here beautiful and it’s so quiet cycling in the check
Hills and we experienced we like it so much it’s very quiet there’s a beautiful nature the roads are here quite good but there are parts that are well could be better but it’s we really like it the hills are not that steep great we’re almost at the campsite it’s another 2 and 1/2
Km first of all we’re going to restock we have some pasta and tomatoes and some other stuff and we want to make sure that we get sufficient vegetables and this is a nice place so uh we can just have a quick look around before we go to the camping side here real check
Supermarket check cows we haven’t seen them a lot during this tour the last day in Czech Republic yes look at the view oh nice nice mountains 5 to 600 m a little bit further to the east they go to 1,000 M and we’re continuing towards the south of Germany and Poland Climbing in the Czech mountains going south to North And in 100 m we will reach the water separation line the water that is going from this side of the Hill mountains to the Mediterranean or to the uh black SE sea and a little further it will go to the North
Sea and for us in Practical it means that we will go down all the way to tiow hello hello especially when we have to catch a train from sit out to days then at 2:30 we try to make it should be possible but going down is of course much much nicer than
Just have to cycle up with maybe 5 6 or 7 km an hour somebody in I think I lost herea she’ll be here in in a Minute aha we’re on our way to tiow and uh to get there we can go through a little part of Poland a little bit of Poland which makes our tour a three Country tour and I love it so we’re very close to the three countries place and this
Point is uh let’s say the where Germany Czech Republic and Poland come Together uh she just bought the last candies from the from the Czech uh what were they called no no it’s Crown crowns oh yeah crowns yeah all right and we’re now going to the Polish border and people who know me they know that if there is a chance to go through
Another country I always do so so we’re in Poland now for a very short time she’s Ming mixing up all the languages now oh yeah but then you have to have sloes yeah that’s true and we’re leaving Poland [Applause] again this is the n and yeah it’s good
Back in Germany so this is the yeah this is the river NAA this is the border river between Poland and Germany the city of chow and the very far Southeastern area of Germany very close to the borders with Czech Republic and Poland we arrive in Bren we cycle back
