I’m not a fan of sandals, run platforms with metal pins and/or straps and looking for shoes I can run during rainy season (which can also potentially mean frequent flooding in certain areas), so just curious if anyone had any insight into any other brands of shoes that might offer something similar? I’m not a huge Vans fan, [but they](https://www.vans.com/en-us/shoes-c00081/slip-on-trk-shoe-pvn0a5hf8blk?variant=vn%3A0a5hf8%3Ablk%3A100%3Am%3A1%3A) seems to be the only thing I’ve found that almost perfectly fits what I’m looking for (won’t be doing any crazy amounts of riding beyond 20-30km in them, likely, and in theory would be nice to be able to carry them in my panniers, just in case).
Also, if anyone has bought them and had to adjust sizing due to typically running a half size, just wondering if the site’s advice to size down is accurate.
