Erika and myself head to Koblenz to ride along the Moselle River. We arrive early to Koblenz, drop our bags off and search for a bike rental place (Rhem bike) We then head towards the River, leaving about 1 am after everything got sorted. We stopped at a few towns along the way and had lunch next to the river. Once it started to get dark we caught the train back to Koblenz and rested at our hotel (hotel 8 Koblenz) ready for another big day.
Just Inside so we’re in coblin just got the train in and we’re looking at renting a bark from uh this place here uh it does look a little bit closed at the moment but we’ll have a look what’s it say online reservation so got to figure it out
We’ve made in the shop it was a pretty easy process in the end uh the the guy over the phone stepped us through everything and how to uh lock the bike up and we even get this um like a little tool kit here so it’s got a a spare tube and all
This and Eric is just trying out one of the bikes they’ got baskets on the front so don’t have to have our backpack on our back we can throw the bag in there and maybe a few beers and um yeah off off riding it ended up being for the two days H maybe
20 22 each it’s like for uh 2 and 1/2 days which isn’t too bad it’s stay to the left and sort of weave in between People I think we’re meant to go we get right Away Erica’s Adventure bicycle around [Applause] Germany are you like Adventure we wait till I get my um my basket full of beers I don’t think I’ll drink that many beers though because I do that in Mexico because I’m very familiar with the way home so and I have control over the bikes I know already by heart the
Traffic lights how the dumb people look everything yeah but here I know nothing so I feel a little bit unsafe that was those reasons to get the helmet so people know that I don’t have the full control of the bike the roads the country the nothing
Yeah make news of the light this is all the light we’re going to get by the way uh yeah we can do as many steps as we want on the way to we going with the light and just come back on the train yeah all cuz we can put the Bo on the
Train yeah Maybe a little sort Of you smell the fire everywhere everyone’s got their fires cooking along keep themselves warm this is a good break from what we usually do is it healthier oh it’s good on the uh the knees it’s better than dragging um 50 kilos up a hill perfect weather though yeah baby perfect Yeah we can stop a bit take a a picture oh [Applause] yeah this is not the pretest yet oh you are the prettiest yet you are what are those like lers in the middle I think there is motorized ladders to transport stuff up and down yeah a some kind of animal for some
Fishing it’s a better view of uh just the lift they used to transfer stuff up the hill looks like almost a chair you can sit in to ride it up as well most ones [Applause] [Applause] hey baby is the town up there try and go and check it out yeah
But I don’t know how I’m only following the GPS towards where we’re going we’ll take the next ride okay you want to lead for that yeah let’s see R the back of box on [Applause] it oh other side of the road think was the other one all go on the path oops Street
There’s Town centage this is a very German vending machine it has eggs Meats sauerkraut some carries and stuff wow such an a have a look baby it’s on the road it’s like a cross with a thing it’s like a sword sword yeah what it is what a stain glass oh that’s what it
Is on the window yeah just uh on the ground did you see this one yeah I see there a metal Pig flag Three hello Hello so stay to the right hand side is the mistake I made oh second castle of a trip scared me um you can go the next ride if you want for oh guow baby look all the things yeah just give me a second it’s like a a river thing through the center of
Town find a nice place to park the bike who the bik set up it’s a very pretty Town M old school machine to put the bottle caps on uh the bottle oh it’s the cor the wine even of course yeah This as closest as we get to the castle so you can walk all the way up there but just inside Super Market in the things or he doesn’t uh you can go in the things if you like yeah this is VI for our lunch be CL beer CL yeah get you what be
Is this baby is that it’s on by pills should be nice so as many routs you can take you can take the upper the other side of the road or even we could have crossed the bridge there and gone across the other side as well so there’s not one way to do this
Ride [Applause] oh s oh Yeah [Applause] [Applause] yeah could choose her own adventure that just become a dirt P Bumpy so these are all going to be fed this hold up a sec your bottle’s making this tinny noise in the thing it’s annoying that is a pretty uh little town [Applause] there I think this is the better path there down the bottom that one up no this one’s better nice and close to the water get The Vineyards to your right for the animals look good then This where I got a chance the ride was very flat and easy riding along the moosel river and was fairly effortless we’re not using sport Sparks or whatever you’d say uh yeah nice ride beautiful views along the way and yeah I think you can do this ride a few different ways
You can ride on the other side of the the river there and go through these other towns or so many ways you could do it going too fast baby 51 slow down going to make it if we go down no we Won’t babby what’s on your left up on the hill CLE Castle number three uh we might have to change lanes as well there’s a bunch of cars here oh are we clear on the right switch lanes no yep oh that’s very pretty up a little
Yeah oh wow so we’ve seen this uh on this Frame ride a few times now we’re seeing it in person from a little bit of a distance still it’s nice yeah super nice selfie time so Erica just had a little bit of a spill on the bike and the front of her
Basket was fairly loaded up and just turning it can happen to the best of us where do we keep going going to town on the left at least I didn’t break the P yeah it’s good no breaking the pants no or if I do I guess it would be cool then the designer Chain [Applause] so ni set of mountain as well so it’s getting pretty late we’re going to try and make one last Castle before heading back on a train and then starting duck at that train continuing on to the rest of the I guess bike ride tour we started a bit late so we’ve had
A fair crack at it today it be interesting to see how many KS we did but be off to the castle and Back Again close to 30 40ks but it’s definitely doable if you get an early start on the thing we started at 1 so it’s fa late and we
Stopped had a nice lunch you got to stop have a nice lunch and look at the things anyways you can’t just you can just ride past everything but it’s nice to stop in the cooking believe have you enjoyed it Erica I did perfect weather she seems to be
Fitter than me as well of riding so it’s a good thing it’s uh someone will push me with my cardio and get me a bit fitter or something while drinking beers there so many pretty things well your basket pretty empty look at mine yeah my basket’s empty Erica’s still got a
Couple beers fighting in there the weather’s chilly so it’s super nice yeah it’s uh keeping the beers cold or making them cold yes are 50 Cent beers if not cheaper if not cheaper yeah yeah definitely recommend doing this uh for us Winter’s nice but summertime could be nice we haven’t seen barely
Anyone riding along this ride there hence why it’s nicer Yeah look for the closest one and just head to that one because yeah yeah oh no no look B PM mon baby bur Burg means uh bur means uh castle Yeah Fortress Fortress This is the Fortress here oh it’s a church uh well it’s next ride so we ended up getting a little bit lost trying to find this Castle Co Castle it’s meant to be like really nice Castle but it got dark and started raining a bit so we ended up getting the train
Back to to goblins and we rest it up and started earier the next day all right baby first look at the hotel Shipp is Buzz in let’s have a look a first look is what we got thing in the thing get some light interesting there’s a towel on the floor
Uh open shower sort of thing let’s go out the whole room there’s a lot going on here okay so you got the shower toilet can’t close the shower door but it looks this looks very fresh and nice got two cups big sort of room sort of uh you can almost see
Through there in the uh where where someone is um taking a poo and they giving us a oh this is uh was it’s a water box it’s a box of water H nice sort of table area safe and let’s have a quick look usually we stay in the room first beforehand but
Now I’m sort of doing a quick Buzz through yeah can open the window maybe take a look oh yeah window opens open that get a bit of fresh air in big TV sort of overlooking the bed and beds are nicely made sort of these separate single
Double beds you either get this or a queen bed with similar setup in Germany with the single d du so I’ve split this video into two videos there’s another one coming up hopefully eventually when I get around to it h it’s already half sort of edited and we’ll be just continuing the
