I curse these multi-part Sunrace XD cassettes. I can no longer get the sunrace XD adapter from the XD hub. Has anyone had similar problems or tips?
The adapter can be destroyed in the process. The problem is that my shaft is a bit conical at the bottom and the cassette lock of the sunrace XD adapter is too close to the hub and therefore the tool no longer grips (max. 1mm distance). I’ve already tried pressing the cassette key with a screw clamp and using it to loosen the cassette. However, this completely ruined the cassette lock on the sunrace adapter.
It could probably work, if I temporary disamble the shaft but sadly havent the correct tools for that.
Is the only solution to replace the whole hub with the XD Adapter on it?
