Riding dirtbikes in the Carpathian mountains of Romania, outside of Sibiu.
Red Bull Romianiacs has been on the bucket list for a while, so we decided to scope it out first by taking a tour with @carpathianadventures . The outfit was recommended by some friends here in the states and has also been highly reviewed by Berry of @crosstrainingenduro . I was an absolutely awesome experience in every way – incredible riding, great accommodations, food to die for, and fantastic company.
The bikes were newer KTM 300 XC-W TPI models and performed flawlessly.
This video is our first couple days of riding, stay tuned for more!
Yeah so far Romania it’s our last day here I’ve got a last little bit of GoPro this space so just going to give my thoughts Romania is amazing the uphills and downhills here I’ve never anywhere in the US seen anything even remotely like this they go on
Forever there’s tons of grip most of the time but the variety of the terrain is just incredible there’s everything from these Woods to Alpine to to like almost desert rocks there’s everything it is a dirt bike Paradise without question slowy single tracks anything you want two tracks and you
Could ride right from your doorstep on the road to the trails everything’s pretty close and the people are just amazingly friendly incredible absolutely incredible I will uh I’m thinking about doing a romaniacs we’ll see if I sign up or not but regardless I will definitely be back there if I could
Move here I would seriously consider it this this is a from what I’ve seen during the one week that we’ve been here this amazing country the towns are absolutely beautiful yeah it’s just gorgeous and it’s a it’s an outdoor Paradise to for not just dir biking but hiking and non biking pretty much
Anything uh as our guide said Romania is all about freedom and you really feel it out here you you can as long as you’re not interfering with other people’s freedom you can do whatever you want it is an awesome country highly recommend it just another sketchy downhill making our way down all little
Bit at a time can’t tell how steep it is but I am full on the front brake right now why did I go this way why did I do that so sit wrap zigzagging up the hill Obie is going to come up here and freaking do this entire Hill in One woo almost up to a slightly less steep part well it took a lot of bike dragging and a lot of pivot turns and some setbacks I made it up here now we go down it is steep this is one of the more relaxy cruy little bits here we’re just following this
Ridge to uh judging by time most likely to lunch you never know got some sheep woo I’m tired I feel it took a lot out of me [Laughter] Oh have a go how to steep that it is it’s loose it is Loose oh what
