Just finished two weeks here and what a place, can’t believe it’s flying under the radar for many. I’m from BC so it’s hard to impress me with landscapes and forests but this place over delivered in every aspect. Landscapes, forests, riding, food, people – everything was top notch. Incredible place to tour, even if you don’t know any Spanish (I know just about as much as you could learn during a plane flight), and very safe for those safety concious.

Route: I took Ryan Wilson’s Chile route ([https://theradavist.com/best-bikepacking-routes-around-the-world/](https://theradavist.com/best-bikepacking-routes-around-the-world/)) as a starting point, and modified the end to end up in Argentina as I”ll keep going south. My route ended up being: [https://www.komoot.com/tour/1359640393](https://www.komoot.com/tour/1359640393). Took 11 riding days and 3 days to complete.

Bike: Kona Unit with a suspension fork and a Rohloff hub. Vittoria Mezcal 29×2.6 tires.
