Saw the trailer at the movies. Probably a great film but now I don’t need to see it because I’ve seen it.
This was one of my favorite movies this year. Just a good-old-fashioned inspirational flick. They are very hard to beat!
The music in this trailer really makes this trailer breath taking.
Does anyone know the song in the background??? I know it is Tom Petty but what version is it????
The movie…nobody needed, wanted, or cared for…this film should have been titled “TNT”.
I first saw this trailer yesterday in the gym while on the rowing machine, lol. Came here to see it with sound. It's terrific exercise.
Good thing it's showing all day on Christmas. That'll give everybody who wants to see it time to see it again if they want.
The book was fantastic !!! I loved it!!! Can't wait for the movie.
Jesse Owens❤
my family thinks i’m weird for wanting to see this
Too many white people I don’t feel safe
“Odds were against them”. lol. Think HW has covered every single Olympic story during that era now. Rowing??
If the movie is anything like the book, it will be amazing!!
I won't see it. The music obscures the dialog . Poor sound editing.
wow…. they're really gettin' low for ideas for OSCAR BAIT movies lately. 🙄
I was recruited for and rowed on the udub crew team my freshman year back in 2008/2009. I lasted one year. Never thought I could push my body THAT hard, and I had already been doing crew four years prior to that. The thing that I remember standing out the most was the annual triathlon.
What a trash title.
One of the best books I ever read, with an intimate look at how difficult times could be, and how the brave and fearless people of our country rose to meet it. That it is true makes it all the more special.
Doesn't look inclusive enough, George. Should have made half the crew people of color.
did this in 64-58 Ecorse Rowing Club…mill workers, collage kids…
I read this book 5 years ago, super amazing story and I didn’t know anything about rowing
I never thought they’d make this!
I’m sure Hollywood is going to have a shitfit about this movie since it’s all white people in it.
The Boys in the Boat is a good movie drama
My Grandfather rowed for UW in the late 20s. The 1929 photo in the front of the book of the team members sawing a large log has my grandfather, Gail W Burleigh, in it. At Grandpa Burleigh’s funeral, his 3rd son, said he was most proud of his rowing for UW. He was a a dry land boy, very poor, but played defensive end for football in high school and a short time for UW.
However, he couldn’t stay in college and had to return to Great Falls to help his single mother pay bills. He was a husband, father to 4 sons, and a cattle rancher in MT the rest of his life. He also helped fight the MannGulch fire of 1949 since he owned the Beartooth ranch close to where to smoke jumpers died.
Looking forward to this movie, Susan
all im thinking about is Olivia jade lol
Ladies in the boat is even harder!!
as a washington husky i'm looking forward to this film
I wouldn’t spend. 10 cents on Clowney
Christmas – when the Boys In The Boat film officially opens – is in six days. I lucked into a pre-release screening last night and was knocked out, COMPLETELY knocked out. When a book is as good and deeply layered as BITB, the film that often follows doesn't usually hit those same high notes. This one definitely did and man, I was SO glad.
Spoiler alert: there are no space ships or comic book characters in this movie, just fast boats and genuine heroes.
so it's like cool runnings but with white ppl? or…?
I can't wait to see my uncle the "Austrian Painter". Imagine if they just told the truth about him for once. I will be going to see this movie. The jerseys with the sun symbol are the most beautiful ❤🎉
I didn’t think this movie would ever get made.
Would rather watch another Jesse Owens movie lol
I feel like this will be big among rowers, Washington fans and history buffs. I’ll catch it on cable… at least it’s not another dumb superhero movie.
I rowed for the University of San Diego and still row with friends 40 years later. I still am friends with the guys I rowed with, it changed my life. This was an awesome book. This is a great sport for kids to get into.
Don’t think it’s going to make it to Oscars. People say there’s no diversity. But that was 1936 in Seattle, how much diversity can you find? And how can you fake history? Sigh
I read this book when it came out. Been waiting years to see it finally become a movie!
Ppl
Some similarities between BitB and Laura Hillenbrand’s Seabiscuit. I am a big horse racing fan and as how great Hillenbrand’s book was, BinB was much more thrilling. Can’t wait for this movie. Hope Clooney did a good job.
Beautiful whiteness. A true hyperborean film. Love it
Where is the forced diversity, i'm confused
In the chapter where the book talks about Washington's race against Princeton, it describes Carnegie Lake in detail. I kayak in that lake frequently and the description exactly fits what the lake is still like 100 years later. I think that was filmed on location, so I can't wait to see it. And as a very competitive dragon boat racer, I can identify with the team. I'll be one of the first people to see it.
My mom was in a canoe club when she was a child and where I am, there’s a canoe club near me so everytime I see them out in the ocean, my mom would try to pressure me to sign up with her but I refused. Mainly because I didn’t want us all to tip over thanks to me and I’m always out of sync. I’m glad that canoeing is getting the recognition it deserves though, it isn’t an easy sport.
No Chinese in it. How can they do it?
where are all the brothers? this is not diverse! where are the strong women??
More like the goys in the boat
Looks historically accurate, no DEI, I think I have to go watch this 10 times in theaters.
10/10
Looks like a good movie. A lot of people are complaining about the lack of diversity but if the story is historically accurate I don't see a problem.
where are the disable transpecies of color individuals? you cannot make a good movie without diversity in 2023, don't you dare!
