Hi there,
I’m a bit lost with power bank choice (or potentially I am over thinking it). I’m planning on rigging my bike with a hub dynamo (SON28) and hooking it via a sine wave box to a power bank for a bike packing trip.
I’m looking to get something with pass through charging. Are there any general rules follow? I have read some people suggest not getting batteries with huge capacity since it’s quite difficult to charge them since you need a higher voltage to overcome the resistance.
Thinking of getting on of these: https://dwights.co.nz/products/biolite-charge-40-pd?variant=39669995307086¤cy=NZD&utm_medium=product_sync&utm_source=google&utm_content=sag_organic&utm_campaign=sag_organic&tw_source=google&tw_adid=&tw_campaign=20863835513&gad_source=1
Also I’m in New Zealand. Have tried to get hold of a voltaic v25 which are dynamo optimised but they don’t ship to the ass end of the world unfortunately.
