Speaker Bio
Riley Kennedy is the Database Steward for COVE’s Stella Maris Testing Solution and is a Database Administrator at DeepSense, a Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence research platform, headquartered at Dalhousie University. At COVE, Riley is responsible for managing and maintaining the Stella Maris Testing Solution database, ensuring smooth backups and recovery operations, monitoring performance, and troubleshooting any issues that may arise.
Riley gained marine experience aboard vessels with Atlantic Towing and Clearwater Seafoods, as well as the Coriolis II, a Canadian research vessel. He has been involved in sample collections and seismic surveys around the coast of Nova Scotia, Magdalen Islands, and the St. Lawrence River. Riley graduated with a Diploma in Marine Navigation from the Nova Scotia Community College’s Marine Institute and a Diploma in Database Administration.
