I benefited from doing this with a smaller group, somewhere around 30 people. 2 of us went full gas up the climb and got in a breakaway. Had a 20 second gap at the top of the climb, we rotated pulls and got it up to over a minute by the finish. I slowly sprinted for the win.
I did the cat c race. Got a second place but destroyed me. Your a monster up in that b class group
