I’m cycling across South America on a route and political/historical journey inspired the one that Che Guevara rode in 1953.
In 50 posts I’ve covered just Chile and Argentina, two countries longer than a very long thing. We crossed Patagonia on the carretera austral, dodged volcanoes after Bariloche, sped north through Chile and traversed the Argentinian red rock north towards the altiplano.
Part 1 has ended on the cusp of entering the socialist mystery of Bolivia after several days sweating it out on the Atacama.
