Hi,
I have been trying to adjust my seat position on my bike for some time now – the products of my labour so far are a loose seat that I can tighten in place. The nut is stuck onto the bolt so I am both unable to remove the nut to replace it and I am unable to tighten it to secure the seat in position.
I have already tried multiple applications of WD40, heating the bolt with a hair dryer / lighter to expand the nut and light hits with a hammer to attempt to dislodge the stuck part.
Does anyone have any further advice on what to do here? I’m in a very frustrating position now where my daily commuter bike has a loose saddle that wiggles and falls to the lowest setting.
