Hello! In April I’m planning to fly in to Monterrey and make my way through some epic desert riding up to an Ancient water basin Cuatrocienegas.
Is anyone from Mexico or have experience in this area that can speak to the safety? Obviously the news loves to show the worst side of the world, especially with cartels in Mexico, but I know they can be located in specific areas.
Does this route present any clear danger to those of you who know the area?
I’ve been dreaming of this eclipse since 2017 and it seems like an awesome way to make an adventure of it on a bike and explore an area I’d never think of visiting.
