We tried out the blue rental bikes “vélobleu” in Nice, France – and one of us actually got badly run over! Despite that, we had a great time and highly recommend renting a bike to explore the city at your own pace. Just please be really cautious!

1 year: €30
PLUS fee for the rental period:
1st half-hour: free
2nd half-hour: €1
additional hour: €2

ELECTRIC VELOBLEU:
1 day: €4
1 year: €80 (when aged 25-65; it is cheaper for students etc)
PLUS fee for the rental period:
1st half-hour: free
additional half-hour: €2

What else to know?
you need access to mobile data (to sign up + find rental stations)
website/app can be switched to English (+ other languages)
you only pay when you actually rent a bike (even if you sign up beforehand)
no helmet required – but we would recommend it!
you can rent several bikes with one account
keep bike for 24 hours max
