Hi everyone, I am looking for carbon wheels(on a budget) with rim brakes (Older bike: Specialized Venge). I saw a pair of mavic Cosmic SLE online for a good price, the owner said the bearings were checked and greased so all good. But I asked why the other rim(rear) has an exposed alloy piece, he said it is because braking and use in winter/wet periods, is this still a good pair of wheels or not? He is asking €400.
